Using selected country examples, this seminar aimed to highlight the causes of water scarcity, shed light on the consequences and analyze the resulting challenges for development cooperation. This seminar intends to make participants aware of the complexity of the topic and sensitize them to it. One of the goals was to establish coherence between our lifestyle, the global availability of water in times of climate change, and its impact on the living conditions of people in regions that are acutely and existentially threatened by water scarcity.
AGREEMed was presented by The Technische Universität Berlin during the session: From university collaborations to research projects in the water and energy sectors in Tunisia, Jordan, and Egypt. Scientific cooperation as a trailblazer and foundation for development-oriented cooperation.
