The AGREEMed project took part in the Third Arab Land Conference, held from 18 to 20 February 2025, in Rabat, Morocco. During this major event, AGREEMed collaborated with the PRIMA projects AG-WaMED and AGREEMAR in the session "Land for Food Security and Climate Action."
The joint intervention focused on "Integrated Land and Water Management with Non-Conventional Waters in the Mediterranean Area", highlighting the importance of non-conventional water resources for sustainable land and water management in the Mediterranean region.
This event marks the first step in consolidating synergies between the three projects, paving the way for long-term collaboration on non-conventional water resources.
The coordination between AG-WaMED, AGREEMAR, and AGREEMed will continue at the European Geoscience Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025. A Splinter Meeting will be organized as a side event during the conference on 30 April 2025, from 14:00 to 15:45 (CEST), under the title "Coordination Meeting on Non-Conventional Waters in the Mediterranean Area."
This collaborative effort aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and promote an integrated approach to addressing the challenges of water and land management in the Mediterranean region.
